With a passion for progressing the careers of others and developing robust workplace culture, Peter Rigbye holds more than two decades of experience across a broad range of HR positions. Currently the General Manager of People & Culture at one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealers, Hastings Deering, Peter leads a team that is responsible for shaping a workplace culture which places people at the centre of decision making.Prior to this, Peter was responsible for providing strategic advice to inform Hastings Deering’s approach to talent and performance, recruitment, remuneration and rewards, organisational development, and workplace relations.Before joining the Hastings Deering team Peter spent several years navigating HR challenges within the resources sector, holding leadership positions with Vale, Downer, Lihir Gold and consulting roles in the Middle East, China, and the Pacific region.Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (HR) from QUT and is a Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
