My role is to continue to write new business for intouch Finance, which has expanded into Seniors Equity Release, Wealth Management, SMSF, Insurance & Commercial/Business Finance. I am also required to maintain and build new relationships with customers, referrers and businesses. My role within intouch, also involves mentoring new and existing branches and helping them to achieve their financial goals, while at the same time maintaining my own business. Part of the mentoring, and my own business is to discover new ways to reach potential referrers and customers.

My first foray into the Finance World was driven by the poor treatment I received from a major bank. I resolved that I could do better than how they treated me. I undertook the required training within the Wizard network, but after 12 months was not achieving the results I desired. I set about learning how to do it better. My own drive to learn from my successful peers, partaking of training seminars and reading books enabled me to reach goals that I thought were unobtainable, until I actually started believing I could obtain them. My sales results within the Wizard network reflect the success I produced within myself. This role was primarily as a Sales Position, although once acheiving my results I was used within the network to help train, mentor and assist other Branches.During my time in Wizard, I expanded into 2 Branches, employing an Office Manager in each Branch and up to 3 Mobile Lending Mangers at any one time.During my time @ Wizard (2002 -2009) I acheived many sales goals & objectives - both Personal and Corporate.03/04: Winner Vic Loan Writer of the Year, Nominated National Operations Award.04/05: Winner: Vic Branch of the Year, Vic Loan Writer of the Year, National Operations Award.Nominated: National Branch of the Year, National Loan Writer of the Year, National Customer Experience Award, National Marketing Award05/06 Winner: Vic Branch of the Year, Vic Loan Writer of theYear. During this time I commissioned the building of a 10m Cruise Boat which we subsequently operated from Westernport Marina, Hastings Victoria. The boat operated as a Scenic Tour, Corporate & Private Events & Fishing & Diving vessel. I was responsible for all aspects of the Company and Operation of the vessel, including my obtaining a Coxswain Certificate.

General Duties for 5 years, including Plain Clothes work until I qualified @ Detective Training School. I served 10 years as a Detective in the South Eastern Suburbs, investigating major crimes against people & property.I was required to investigate all manners of criminal activities but some of the more note worthy include a number of complex Fraud Investigation resulting in the extradiction of offenders from interstate & overseas. A string of Armed Robberies in which I arrested 2 of the 5 offenders, fleeing from a stolen car. A number of murder enquiries, including a serial killer, a complex Blackmail investigation - and taking control of complex Crime Scenes, including being one of the first responding officers to the Russell Street bombing.As a Detective I was responsible for compiling Briefs of Evidence and liasing with the D.P.P., co ordinating witnesses for trial and giving evidence. At crime scenes I took responsibility and instructed other members both junior & senior in rank, co ordinated communications and collected evidence.
