Key role within Finance & Property Services managing the council's energy and climate change activities. Main responsibilities include:- Monitoring energy budgets and consumption across the councils estate- Developing and delivering projects to reduce energy use- Day to day management of energy and climate change team - Project managing programs for the installation of 300kW of solar PV and 2.5MW of biomass boilers- Preparation of tenders and procurement of materials and services as required- Liaison with appropriate services to ensure the effective installation of renewable and low carbon technologies- Public Bodies Duties Climate Change Reporting- Co-ordinating the council's Climate Change & Sustainability Working Group- Delivering the council's electric vehicle infrastructure programAdditional responsibilities include:• Preparing and presenting reports to senior management, Policy, Scrutiny & Development Panels and Council Executive• Identifying potential new projects and developing business cases• Working with other services to encourage the implementation of renewable and low carbon technologies on operational and housing properties
