After 23 years and 7 months service with Widney Manufacturing I took early retirement. I do metal artwork made from tools that have been reclaimed from people who no longer have a use for them, saving them from scrap and turning them into one of a kind, unique crafted sculptures or other useful every day items such as coat hooks, lights and more. It brings me joy to create something new from something old.Every tool that I incorporate into my work tells it's own story of a working family who would go out every day to put food on the table, keep a roof over their heads.It pains me to think that these tools could have been melted down and locked in a cycle of recycle ♻️. Tools holds much sentimentality as meny other things, jewellery, pictures, keepsakes. Thay hold memories that can be cherished for years to come. It's my goal to preserve that sentimentality.
