I took a secondment in September 2010, as a Group Learning Organiser, to oversee the delivery of their project within the current financial year. I began by obtaining a detailed understanding of the project and what progress had to be made. I reviewed the existing paperwork and spoke to relevant colleagues. Once I understood what still needed to be delivered, I was able to monitor our progress against the required outcomes using the existing paperwork. This was achieved by reviewing the quarterly performance reports. I utilised my team meetings to my colleagues on our progressive and check their understanding of what still needed to be delivered. To complement these meetings, I made contact with each member of my team on a regular basis. I tailored my approach to take into account their individual progress and the support they required. This enabled me to provide clear and succinct verbal and written reports on our progress to my senior leaders.
