I manage a professional team in a busy plastics fabrication division. My team and I are passionate about quality, customer care and service.The plastics division manufactures corrosion resistant plastic fans, fume scrubbers and duct work for industrial projects. I am responsible for new business, identifying potential customers and ensuring we can offer them a fabrication service that fully meets their needs. I design systems to meet clients’ needs and comply with regulatory standards and still undertake site surveys, estimating and quotations and on-site commissioning. With my team I oversee quality processes and schedule production. I work with multi-national customers to deliver high-quality products and manage contracts and projects with values up to several £100,000s.I also work with the Board to define and deliver the business strategy.

When I began my career at APMG, I completed my HND Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship in the Plastic Fans Department. I worked within a team where I handled projects, including site surveys, estimating, design work, manufacturing and installation drawings in 2D AutoCAD format, shop floor instructions, producing programs for the CNC router and carrying out on-site commissioning My role also included liaising with my colleagues in the Sales department, selecting the correct products, pricing and offering the best service to meet the clients’ requirements.
