Peter RubandoCareer SummaryPeter started his career in healthcare in 1990 when he opened a Management Recruiters office in Manassas, Virginia (MRINetwork, one of the world’s largest staffing firms with 600+offices). Under Peter’s leadership this office quickly became a leader within the MRINetwork, achieving top 10% status and focused primarily on Nursing, Allied Health and Physical Medicine. Peter gained tactical recruitment experience in contract staffing and permanent placement both domestically and internationally.In 1997 Peter went “in-house” with a long time client, the ProMedica Health System (PHS). At the time PHS was a 3 hospital system located in Toledo, Ohio. As the Director of Recruitment, Peter was responsible for all hiring and was chair of the Recruitment and Retention counsel. During his 11 year tenure PHS grew from 3 hospitals to 10 hospitals with over 15,000 employees. Among his many leadership roles, he developed the MY Shift Plus program (PHS internal staffing agency) saving millions of dollars in labor expense. As part of the hospital leadership team, Peter gained strategic insight into provider operations and has extensive experience leading complex, large scale, multi site projects.In 2008 Peter began consulting with dozens of clients providing strategic and tactical support around Recruitment and Retention issues. Peter gained nation recognition for his work with the St. John Health system in Detroit, developing the FlexChoice program and saving the system over 3 million and hiring over 350 nurses within the 1st year. Peter has been a trusted advisor to a broad range of businesses with special emphasis on Recruitment/Retention issues.
