I am a creative entrepreneur, speaker and film and television producer. I am a member of the United Nations Creative Economy Expert Group and part of the World Economic Forum Expert Network. I am an active member of the Speakers 4 Schools charity, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and was named as part of the Creative England CE50 in 2018, a list of the top 50 leaders and innovators in the digital creative industries.A 30 year career in the film and television business working in the Hollywood Studio system and more lately as an independent screenwriter and producer, I have a passion for supporting and developing new creative talent. I have devoted much of the last 10 years to supporting young creative producers in developing regions, particularly in small island states such as those in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean, alongside my work at Staffordshire University and leading the award winning moving image cluster, Platform.I am also a lover of good coffee and fine mechanical watches, play chess (badly) and guitar (even worse).
