This included the appointment of the Principal and Executive Team, membership of the new Board, a review of current and future staffing needs in line with budgets, establishment of a new contract of employment, policies and procedure and the associated consultation with staff and Trade Unions in line with employment legislation and best practice. • Lead and Consultant on the independent evaluation and feasibility studies for five Colleges to establish their options prior to the Area Wide Reviews.

Key Responsibilities:Provide a strategic focus for Further Education in Greater ManchesterWork within Greater Manchester with Government, the Combined Authority, other agencies, large companies and organisations on behalf of the Group.Key Achievements: • Establishing the brand of ‘GMCG’.• Strategic lead during Wave 1 of the Area Review. • Development of the Greater Manchester Apprenticeship Company • Chairing the ‘Efficiency Sub- Group’ with the Vice Principals Finance of all 10 Colleges and leading on the implementation of a number of initiatives and the sharing of good practice.
