Once upon a time, in the long, long ago … I became an accountant. My life since then has been 30+ years of translating and interpreting numbers for those who often find them boring and confusing. I take a set of financial statements and convert them into a story and I teach people how to implement improvements in their business. Everything I do is about scaling up profit, cash, and value.I have turned numbers into stories for many business owners … the premise is the same across all types of business whether you are a manufacturer, retailer, or a service-based business, “know your audience and the problem, tailor the message and deliver it in a way that can be easily understood”.With a future destined for automation, it is more important than ever that as Accountants we learn to tell the story.In 2021, after exiting my Tax Accountancy Practice I started my Financial Education and Consultancy business, Scaling Up CFO.And so, it began... my vision to deliver "Financial Literacy and Education", workshops on the core elements of your finances, to as many Business owners as possible!After training and consulting to over 1,000 business owners during my time as an accountant, I found that the majority of my clients wanted to improve Profit, Cash and Valuation.They also wanted to know three things at any given point in time: 1.
