Processes achieved through induction ranged from case hardening, through hardening, tempering, annealing, and brazing. • Designed, assembled, executed and documented experiments in the lab for customer demonstrations and process validation. • Prepared heat treated samples for testing. o Sectioned, mounted, and polished parts.o Performed metallurgical measurements on the mounts to verify heat treat pattern and grain structure. Checked Rockwell hardness with Micro Hardness tester. Used Etchants to revel heat treat patterns.  Checked grain structure and make up by capturing images with an Electron microscope.• Designed induction coil assemblies and part fixturing for production based on experiment results and customer input. • Presented reports to Engineering, Sales and customers on the results from the process experiments.• Traveled to customer sites for machine start-ups, process development, new part recipe creation, and training.

These procedures involved my own input from what I observed during the process.
