Conceived, co-produced and financed in partnership with Mirvish Productions a Broadway-style dance show which ran for a month in Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre and Havana's main theatre for a month. It was booked for a 15-week UK tour but we the co-producers decided to terminate the production instead.• Toured the non-Broadway all-woman flamenco-tap company world-wide with rapid success.• Passed on management to others and company still tours

Designed, built and marketed a new concept of ultra-strong steel trans-oceanic, luxury motor yachts in the US$1 million to US$3.5 million range (55’–82’.) In 2019 dollars these would be up to US$7 million duplication cost.They have been proven after some 20 years at sea as the strongest, safest yachts in their class worldwide. Their like-new durability is verges on the uncanny: please ask for website links to various boats.A fleet of 16 yachts was launched; now the yachts are based in ports around the globe, having done the equivalent of many world circumnavigations. They have been tested by the worst natural conditions including several hurricanes, groundings, the big Asian tsunami, etc. yet none has ever been disabled at sea – a rare record. When The Mac Store was bought in a friendly takeover by MicroWarehouse (AKA MacWarehouse) I was appointed president for one year term. I did not continue in this role beyond a year only because I had caught the 'yacht bug' quite seriously and wanted to travel. The worldwide President, the highly esteemed Peter Godfrey, offered me presidency of their France division and other European roles, but I respectfully declined. I'd had quite enough of computer retail. Sales during my year at MacWarehouse Canada increased from $35 million annualized at time of selling The Mac Store, to $90 million annualized at my departure. Not too shabby a total start-up a few years previous... I'm quite proud of the stunning 5-year straight-line growth.

The Mac Store Inc. became Canada’s leading nationwide Macintosh computer storefront and catalogue operation – as well as the first authorized national Apple catalog in the world. It was a head-spinning growth curve frankly, albeit at the price of 7-day weeks of 12-hour days.In 1994 MicroWarehouse Inc (NASDAQ $2 billion market cap at the time) bought The Mac Store Inc. I stayed on as President for the transition year, graciously declining their offer of a ten-year contract. Sales leapt from some $35 million annualized to $90 million annualized in the first year of the take-over, given the newly-loosened credit terms and influx of major capital in catalogue distribution and warehousing.

Was hired under contract by the Board of Directors of these sister companies, to define mission and improve market presence. Systems Consultant to Dance Section• Designed a dance company/school reporting system for Council evaluations/grants.• In use for decades before PCs took over, the system was adopted by some Provincial councils as well. • The system was praised by Council’s clients for doubling as a ‘how-to’ fiscal decision-making tool.

• Joined the Ballet at the low point of its worst fiscal and management crisis. Helped to bring about two-year turn-around to a position of black ink, extensive world touring, a high world profile.• Negotiated and managed the 40-city US/Canada tour with Sol Hurok and Rudolf Nureyev, including the large Sleeping Beauty production.• Had full responsibility for office staff and systems; handled all union negotiations; often acted in General Manager’s place during his absence, including my first few months on the job.• Became Canada’s leading arts fund-raiser at the time, pioneering the corporate use of arts as a profitable marketing vehicle. Also approximately doubled smaller donations using incentives.• Was privileged to be part of this great company during what some consider its golden era.
