This role involved both Application Support and QA activitiesApplication Support Responsibilities:• Providing second line support for company software solutions, which are implemented on server and mobile platforms• Recording inbound support issues in an incident management system.• Managing the incident through incident life-cycle.• Investigation of issues raised, providing a fix or workaround if possible.• Determining prioritization of incidents, involving senior resource whereapplicable.• Managing the deployed software versions on the customersites.• Coordinating the deployment of new software version with the customer.QA Responsibilities:• Creation and execution of Test Plans for Android, Windows Desktop, Windows Handheld and Web UI• Testing new developments and change controls.• Recreation of any potential development bug in the test environment.• Creating development investigation cases for potential bugs• Re-testing fixed defects• Maintaining test documentation

This is a highly varied role, my main responsibilities include• Providing technical support for incoming queries/issues and logging tickets in relation to these.• Setup and administration of users using Active Directory, Exchange server and DBadmin systems.• Assisting other members of the helpdesk when required.• Creating procedure modifications and improvements where needed.• Creating documentation and keeping it up to date• Projects: Rollout of Skype for Business, VPN laptop rollout, etc • Creating Powershell scripts to automate aspects of my job and also when requested to help with Active Directory Administration• Script improvement/modification via batch file/VBscript

• This role primarily involved testing bugs and enhancements for the Oracle translation tools – Translation Factory and Hyperhub• Performed QA testing (functional/non-functional testing, developing test cases and test scripts from functional specification, etc) on an internal tool developed using Agile methodology during the second 6 months of placement• Thorough documentation of all testing performed• Created a number of scripts in order to automate some of the repetitive aspects of my work
