Establish and manage an International Procurement , Domestic Sales and Quality Surveillance office in Zhongsan Southern China through a structure of 19 multinational staff .Maintaining cost effective sourcing through delivery of under Budget expenditure , margin improvement , managing vendor relationships , improved capacity planning , improved quality performance , NPD ( New Product Development ) and competitive pricing .Ensure continuous improvement in vendor processes , maximization of utilization levels , cost effective performance , and compliance with domestic statutory and GWA requirements .Establish , implement and maintain effective risk management , contingency plans and disaster recovery plans for sourcing activities . Conduct risk assessment , identify and mitigate against business , financial and supply risks including quality , industrial action related risks to ensure short , medium and long term business viability and uninterrupted supply .

Reporting to the General Manager of Supply.Accountable for Wetherill Park Vitreous China Sanitary Ware Manufacturing. This involves management of 185 people across Production, Engineering and Maintenance, Technical, Planning Purchasing and Procurement, OH&S, Quality and Continuous Improvement with a $35.5 Million Operating budget and $4.5 Million Capital Budget.Achievements:Successfully managed a $ 20 million Plant upgrade from labour intensive manual casting toautomatic High Pressure casting machinery and automated downstream handling equipment , resulting in yield improvement from 75 % to 87 % . Reduction of headcount from 239 to 185 and capacity increase from 500 ,000 to 1.3 million pieces per annum .Operational Improvement programs including delivery of $ 2.8 Million in operational savings over 2 years. Capital budget delivered on time, within budget and to scope. Working capital above target result in reducing inventories from $12.9M to $9.6M.Profit consistently achieved to Budget expectations .Product quality improvement demonstrated by reduction in after sales and service incidents.Significant improvements in production performance being above target for productivity, yield, wastage and plant efficiency targets.Completed structural review of Maintenance and Engineering Departments to deliver improved performance outcomes. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the Business.Initiated environmental performance improvements in partnering with Boral to recycle 95% production wastage. Initiated project to recycle 80% of water previously sent to sewer which equated to 160kL’s per day saved in town water usage and 136kL’s reduction in discharge to sewer. External recognition was received via 2 Environmental Excellence Awards.
