Working globally with team members in America and Hong Kong on projects with some of the biggest players in finance and private equity.Day-to-day my role here involved creating assets and marketing for Acuris’s popular world-wide events, working to tight deadlines and remembering those pesky time-zones. When the events were taken care of, I got to get stuck into some bigger, more conceptual work, producing insightful publications on topics such as cryptocurrency or fintech for the likes of HSBC and KPMG to name but a few.This position needed a keen eye for detail and a big problem solving hat, as info-graphics were at the heart of everything we did. Tasked with distilling complex data into something visually simple.

Building on my experience in the food and retail space, I helped out the guys at Strange Hill with their on-going work for Pod cafes. I got to create visuals for all in-store menus, takeaway packaging and various other little bits and bobs needed to keep Pod running smoothly.

An 8 strong team, working collaboratively on some awesome branding projects in the hospitality, FMCG and retail spaces. Producing some great work for great clients (and some not so great deadlines).Working in a small company means you have get stuck into stuff you wouldn’t normally be exposed to. Which means good news for development, but not so good for my neglected succulent collection. From the very beginning I was involved in artworking, client management and pricing. Funnily enough, artworking has now become a staple of my career and something I pride myself on.Over the course of my time at the IRFC I learnt a hell of a lot about being a member of a design team. Understanding what it means to produce professional work for real businesses. Transforming a young whipper-snapper, fresh out-of-university into a professional designer. Not a bad start at all...

As a team leader I was responsible for helping customers to get what they want by ensuring our shelves are filled, and that other members of my team were co-ordinated and kept up to date on what's happening in the department.I made day to day decisions on behalf of my team, and of course, provided support to my section/department manager.I was also involved in coaching of new starters, co-ordinating my team's rotas and attendance, and communicating key messages.I took an enthusiastic, hard working and totally customer focused approach to my role.
