Even since I was a kid, water, waves and wind have fascinated me and been my passion. I made dams and water mills in the stream running through my parent’s garden and sailed and surfed in the nearby sea. My fascination for water, waves and wind made me an engineer in 1987, and since then I’ve been so fortunate to combine passion and profession. Today, almost 35 years later, I’m an even more passionate engineer and project manager within the fields of ports, marinas, offshore energy, maritime and coastal engineering. My main focus is on waves and/or ports. So far, I have worked on more than 200 marine, port and hydraulic projects in more than 50 countries, where I have applied my extensive general experience as well as my long-term experience and knowledge in numerical and physical modelling. What drives me is chasing high-quality results and solutions for DHI's clients. When not dealing with my water- and wave passion professionally, I enjoy it on my wind- and kitesurfing boards or just by watching the waves from the beach.
