Following 16 years of experience as CTO with FOXTEL, SmartDigitalMedia was created to provide an opportunity to explore a wide range of media opportunities particularly in the technology strategy area. As IP technology becomes more pervasive in the broadcast space, my 30 years+ of television technology experience provides an expansive base to provide services to businesses grappling with transformation to IP platforms. Designed and built FOXTEL, a multi channel subscription television facility based in Sydney.evolved Foxtel's HFC cable business adding satellite in 1999Transitioned from Pyrmont to its new home at North Ryde whilst taking the company digital – 150 channels, interactive.Relocated SkyNews Australia from Frenches Forest and integrated into the Foxtel facility at North Ryde.Launched fully integrated PVRprovided solution management expertise for the Virgin Live FOXTEL service in aircraft.
