Peter has extensive experience across a range of building sectors with a focus on large scale residential and mixed-use schemes. He has worked across several projects involving complex site constraints, often working closely with existing communities. Peter leads a design team carrying projects from concept stage to detailed design and completion. Through this experience he has developed a strong understanding of how to balance key client requirements with local community engagement and planning policies. He has a real passion for improving the link between architectural practice and education to make the industry accessible for marginalised and underrepresented groups which he has written articles on and held an Editorial Advisor position. He has been instrumental in guiding BPTW’s EDI strategies, part of which involved spearheading the practice’s relationship with the University of Sheffield and London School of Architecture (LSA) both schools having a strong diversity and social mobility ethos. Peter is also a Part 3 examiner at three institutions and has mentored several of the practice’s students through their professional studies. He encourages his team to be curious and never be afraid to ask questions, giving them the autonomy to grow their client/consultant relationships.
