To provide CFO coverage for period of time, primarily involved with the companies banks in debt restructuring and the refinance of some of the company's aircraft, in addition to overviewing the financial function in the lead up to the year end. The company has a turnover of USD $183m and has a worldwide focus with major business units in the United Kingdom, USA, Middle East and Asia.

In collaboration with 2 business partners, I identified an opportunity to buy helicopter operator contracts and establish British International Helicopter services as a standalone business. I wrote and presented an initial business plan to potential corporate advisors, investors and banks in conjunction with KPMG, successfully raising £35m to buy the business. This is a board level, multi-dimensional role, with full P&L responsibility for this £23m turnover operation, working along-side the MD and 2 Non-Executive Directors. Subsequent to establishing the company, I developed the company infrastructure including accounting systems, developing employee handbook and formulating standard operating procedures across Finance, HR and administration.I defined the strategic vision and plans for the organisation; and developed and implement a commercial strategy and business model to deliver the company’s corporate objectives.As Finance Director, I established the entire financial management infrastructure across processes, controls and systems including reporting capability and budgetary management.In 2006, I successfully negotiated and completed a secondary management buy-out and secured new private equity finance and in 2009 arranged additional private equity funding. I have also negotiated additional structured debt financing and negotiated new bank fundingI have led a variety of capital projects including the sale of an operating division involving TUPE transfer of staff, sale of 3 helicopters to a US buyer and the sale of a major parcel of land to a national supermarket chain.In 2013 I successfully lead the sale of the main trading company and then since then have been selling the remaining assets of the Company in order to maximise shareholder value.

I was appointed Financial & Commercial Director of the Air Foyle Group to lead all financial and commercial management activity for this major company. This was a board level position with full P&L responsibility for the £140m Group operation.As Financial Director, I developed the financial strategy and provided financial expertise for business opportunities on an international level. I led the development of the company’s financial management infrastructure including the implementation of formal budgeting processes, with periodic strategic and business reviews, to ensure superior cost control and profitability.I worked with CEO to acquire City Jet based in Dublin and oversaw all due diligence processes. I operated as a Director of City Jet until the strategic decision was taken to sell the airline and I then started negotiations which subsequently led sale to a sale to Air France.I successfully identified, negotiated and oversaw the running of 6 new start-up airlines in the UK including easyJet, Excel, Air World, Air Scandic, Color Air Norway and TNT. I produced detailed business plans for potential clients; undertook feasibility studies on client projects; and subsequently identified and obtained private and corporate investors for project finance.

This company was a US based provider of computer hardware and software primarily involved in financial services, manufacturing and UK Government departments.I provided financial, legal, HR and commercial expertise to the company and was responsible for the infrastructure, warehouse and computer consultancy areas of the business. I managed a number of major business projects including identifying and organising site moves as the company expanded.
