On a weekly basis, the Burton plant processed 1,350,000 chickens, and produced 1,900 tonnes of finished product for the direct-to-retail market and for further processing.I am particularly proud of overseeing and implementing extensive national efficiency initiatives including labour cost reduction; continuous improvement; Lean operations; and yield improvement and reliability resulting in the reduction of downtime, overtime and absenteeism.
