CurrentI have responsibility for managing the risk management function within Westpac’s Property Finance businesses. This encompasses: • The provision of in-house research into the various domestic real estate market sectors and creation of the Group’s “House View” on each of those market sectors,• Monitoring and measuring the Group’s property finance exposure levels to all real estate asset classes and geographies. I provide presentations on the exposure levels and recommendations on whether they are considered to be directionally appropriate having regard to the “House Views” for those markets, • Management of national team of Property Risk Managers and Construction Risk Managers that service the business. I also manage the Westpac Property Markets Research staff/function,• Monitoring/managing analytical output provided by all staff from a QA perspective, • Provision of “Occasional Papers” in respect of relevant key property market issues, and• Management of Westpac’s National Commercial Valuation Panel.
