CurrentAs Executive Director at GBCS, I am proud to be a school leader at our great public charter school serving grades 6-12 in Exeter, NH. In addition to a host of day-to-day responsibilities of school operation, my primary administrative focus includes the areas of curriculum development, supervision and evaluation, budget development and management, and human resource management. Our school emphasizes project-based learning using competency-based assessment and we are a passionate user of the Collins Writing Program across the entire scope of our curriculum. We have developed and implemented a goals-based personalized educational plan (PLP) experience for each of our students, including two student-led conferences each year. We have a strong faculty-student advisory program that is the cornerstone of building and maintaining a culture of caring, flexibility, and connectedness. We are proud to be actively participating in the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the personalization initiatives promoted by the Great Schools Partnership (GSP), the League of Innovative Schools (LIS) and the New England Secondary School Consortium (NESSC). Our school is also an active, supportive member of the New Hampshire Alliance for Public Charter Schools.
