I work with students in primary, secondary, further and higher education. I also coach SpLD adults of working age. I coach individuals in how to develop basics skills in decoding and encoding written language. I have a particular passion for helping individuals improve their study skills and management of written language tasks such as: understanding the question or work assignment; planning and drafting written work; reviewing and proofing; effective revision strategies; reading and spelling strategies, and helping improving metacognition (that is helping individuals develop a better understanding of how they learn and function).

Until 2009 I worked as an Interim Director / Manager and management consultant. I was particularly adept at programme, project and change management. I worked mainly in the public sector with local authorities and housing associations. I worked in a number of senior management roles encompassing finance (including revenues and benefits), housing, education, social care and the voluntary sector. My skill base included customer care, change and performance management, programme and project management, training and personal development.
