I've always been the "new kid on the block" due to an itinerant lifestyle. While many families may move from city to city, we moved from country to country, growing up experiencing entirely different cultures every three years. The life of a Foreign Service Officer dependent is a "many splendord thing"- I am still very grateful for potable water from the tap, and dependable electricity. This has made me resilient, adaptive, and aware of the complexity of communication between cultures. This influenced my career in the Army: As a Civil Affairs leader, I am (or was) accustomed to and proficient in working with different cultures, building understanding and cooperation in challenging real-world missions. I offer over 25 years of civilian and military experience building teams and completing projects of increasing significance in progressively complex environments. So what? I'm glad you asked. My skills in establishing rapport, building trust, and developing long-term relationships will add value regardless of the organization I am working in. Ultimately, whatever the mission, people are at the heart of it.I’m trustworthy, honorable, and loyal. I have had a current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. My why statement: "To synchronize the crew so that together we can dig in and accelerate."Gallup/ Clifton Strengths: 1.
