At Scout Alarm, I am responsible for all aspects of our consumer home security product's embedded design. That includes hardware and software design, schematic capture, component sourcing, testing and prototyping. The products are Zigbee / Zwave / WiFi based and connected to AWS-IoT. We utilize many hardware platforms including those from Silicon Labs, Espressif and STM.

At Philips I was responsible for the hardware and software design of indoor network lighting control systems. I was working with LonWorks, BACnet and DyNet network protocols. I utilized extensively the STM range of 32-bit and 8-bit micro-controllers as well as NXP and Echelon devices.My projects included lighting / blind / HVAC controllers and hand-held LCD touch screen system programmers. I worked on projects with engineers in Europe, Australia, China and with the government agencies DoD and DoE.

At Midtronics I was a team leader of a small group of engineers working on battery diagnostic and charging applications in the automotive industry. These applications required voltage, current and resistance measurement after calibration. All the projects involved connectivity, so I designed and implemented various interfaces using wi-fi, CAN, ethernet, USB, Bluetooth and Zigbee. Each project contained a boot loader so the software can update from a number of sources such as USB, SD card or serial port. Full testing, calibration and validation, including EMC compliance and immunity, were performed for everything.

At Audio Partnership I led my department, a software team of 5 people, on multiple projects. I also worked independently on multi-room audio and video system products. These products included touch-screen keypads, wall keypads, serial controllers, amplifiers, and AV matrix switchers. I also worked as part of a larger team designing consumer audio products such as hi-fi amplifiers, CD players, tuners, DVD players, and speakers. All these products heavily utilized the Microchip PIC family of devices.

At Leax, I worked on many different products used in the architectural lighting industry. They include lighting control, lighting dimmers, daylight linking, remote control (infra-red and RF), PIR detection and wall keypads. These projects mainly used the Microchip PIC family of microcontrollers and also the ST7, Atmel 2051, COP8 and Toshiba Neuron devices.

At Interface Devices, I worked on many different products used in areas such as telecommunications, data acquisition and fluid level measurement, using the Microchip PIC family of microcontrollers.
