Customer centric team leader responsible for a regional based team (up to 16) of Engineers, Engineering Officers and Admin staff with a focus on managing customer connections and relocations of Ausgrid’s distribution network. Connections vary from simple ASP Level 2 assessment and connections to connections and relocations requiring certification of ASP Level 3 designs and ASP Level 1 construction works. Timely response to both internal and external customers is required under the AER Contestable Connections framework with regularly correspond with customer, developers, engineering consultants and ASP1/2/3’s, local councils and community/industrial groups.Regularly well over target of 96% compliance. Required to make rulings on both technical and administrative matters which underpins the section staff who certify designs to various Ausgrid Network Standards, policies and the NSW Service and Installation Rules. All work performed by the team is recovered from connection applicants and ASPs through ANS fees and charges. All staff performance reviews form part of the sections workplan with targets and KRAs cascaded down from the divisional targets

Timely and effective responses to HV connection requests for larger customers, exceeding the average turn around times by approx 25%. Responsible for feeder compliance to regulatory licence conditions, investment governance and regulations.Staff are self starters who’s areas of responsibility cover Southern Sydney, CBD and the Central Coast regions.Work is delegated, responsibilities set and all objectives are managed using an individual workplan tied to the staff’s PDS and reviewed via monthly team meetings. All individual staff workplans form part of the sections workplan, targets and KRAs. Delivered the capital works program in the area of distribution feeder compliance and other varying needs of Ausgrid in the current regulatory environment including strategic area planning and RIN preparation. Key resource in the change management process involving EMD consultants and led the productivity improvements implemented across the Distribution Planning Section.

Team leader with 7 staff who manages the delivery of designs and construction of the HV, LV and SL distribution network within the southern region of Sydney. Responsible for the area's distribution substation replacement program and the strategic planning and management of Ausgrid’s LV and SL distribution network. Responsible for the managing of the expectations of connected customers.

Acted as the Section Manager reporting to the Branch Manager, with up to 36 staff spanning geographic offices in both the Sydney (CBD) and Hunter (Wallsend). Responsible for the provision of long term stewardship of all Ausgrid’s distribution network, including the forecasting of future distribution feeder demand (utilisation) and developing cost effective plans to address constraints and the connection of new customer substations.
