• Promoting health, safety and environmental programs targeting zero work-related injuries and illnesses within the mine team.• Implement the “Human Performance” Program• Determining the 5-year maintenance budget and updating the yearly maintenance budget for approval. Reviewing projections for capital and operating expenditure and regularly monitors performance against budgeted financial targets to minimize cost without adversely impacting efficiencies• Implementing maintenance business processes in line with the company agreed processes e.g. work management process, planning process and scheduling process.• Ensures that all business processes are consistent with Rules-in-use & arecontinually improved using ABS tools and methodologies.• Ensures that the ABS problem solving system is fully operational• Managing all operations within Mine Maintenance so that they operate within the Mining regulations of Saudi Arabia. • Ensuring that utilization and availability of equipment throughout the Mine is maximized through liaison with the Production Superintendent and cooperating in the implementation of effective short and long-term predictive and preventive maintenance plans and the scheduled upgrade/replacement of equipment.• Maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness of all maintenance aspects mentioned above in accordance with the AlBa’itha Mine operation plans.• Examining technical trends and KPIs as they affect the mine maintenance function and proactively implements activities to minimize risks and optimize opportunities.• Implementing and improving the effectiveness of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).• Measuring the performance of the Mine maintenance team members and provides effective leadership and top-down and bottom-up communication throughout the Mine maintenance area.• Ensuring that employees in the Mine maintenance area are highly motivated, competent and well trained.

• Ensure that mining maintenance targets, safety objectives, as directed by the MineMaintenance Supervisor, are maintained daily and conform to the current Mines Business Plan• Optimise manpower resources by directing, planning the work to be done in the most efficient manner • Develop and communicate weekly and daily work schedules/plans to the shift foreman. Plans to include: - Labour, Parts, Equipment availability and information to carry out the task (Work Pack)• Coordinate a daily work schedule meeting to ensure resources and job priorities thatmeet the department objectives• Ensure quality history is recorded into the maintenance system• Coordinate and monitor the oil sampling system• Responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance schedules (servicing) are up to date and acted upon. Assist the long-term planner in developing monthly schedules• Responsible for ensuring that all working activities under my control are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and that all such activities conform to Alcoa Mines current procedures, and the current Mines Regulation Act• Assist in the preparation of operating budgets for the mobile equipment• Assist in the maintaining of mobile equipment service records• Assist the long-term planner in developing monthly schedules
