As the Network Design Authority for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, I was responsible for ensuring; all elements of the Bank's data networks were compliant with current architectural principles, and met the business requirements of the Bank as well as vetting and authorising all new designs and modifications to the existing environment. The scope included all domestic networks; the branch and administration network to the automatic telling machine, the point-of-sale network, the interchange networks with other financial institutions and international networks. The role is key to the governance and management of the Bank-wide data network, and acts as the technical liaison between service providers to the Bank and the business.
