I bring a unique background to the practice of workplace mediation and family dispute resolution.My career has armed me with educational and senior leadership experiences which allows me to understand the fundamental issues underlying a dispute and then to engage constructively with the parties and their advisers to resolve matters and reach agreements.I have worked with teachers, parents and children for over 48 years and understand the importance of people feeling acknowledged and their concerns properly addressed.After studying teaching and leadership at the Australian Catholic University and the University Notre Dame I spent 40 years as a high and primary school teacher and later a College Principal in different parts of Australia and overseas. I understand how adults interact with one another and how to work with adults when relationships break down. I hold qualifications in Family Dispute Resolution and I have combined my understanding of workplace disputes with training in family dispute resolution to work with parents to settle family disputes and resolve property and children matters. During my time as a senior leader in schools, I have mediated hundreds of disputes between teachers, parents and students. I have also mentored newly appointed Principals and assisted them in their first 5 years of leadership to be an effective leader and change agent for their school community.
