• Oversaw and managed the build of prototype vehicles and development mules both for Lotus and external clients. This included Electric vehicles, Product launches and other engineering projects. • Liaised with customers, fellow engineers, project managers and arranged workshop space, time and labour. • Sourced suppliers for parts, one off components often using rapid prototyping and working to tight deadlines.I was with Lotus Engineering for over twenty years during which time I had several roles.I started as a Powertrain Technician, progressing to Senior Technician, building and testing prototype and development engines During this time I was also worked on the development of engines for several racing ventures including the Esprit and the development of the GT1 Lotus Elise for Le Mans. I ran the Air Flow Test Rig Facility developing and optimizing Intake and Exhaust flow for product development for many major Automotive and Motor Cycle manufacturers as well as Lotus. I became a member of the Staff Council where I became Chair for six years. In this latter role I attended board meetings and liaised with senior management over Staff issues and wage negotiations. Introduced the IMechE EngTech accreditation programme to Lotus. When I stood down from this role I took up the role of Prototype build Engineer as detailed above.
