Originally from New Jersey, Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Messiah College and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Montana State University. With 19 years as a nurse and commissioned Naval Officer in the Navy Nurse Corps, Peter is a colleague in flight, critical care, and emergency environments.During active duty, Peter served in Bethesda and Okinawa, with deployments to Kuwait and Afghanistan. Transitioning to the Navy Reserve, he started travel nursing, ultimately staying in a Denver-based intensive care unit when he rediscovered civilian aeromedical services. Peter spent several years as a flight nurse after moving to a Helena-based company, and deployed again to Afghanistan and on a warship in the Persian Gulf. He is now Officer in Charge of the freshly-minted Reserve En Route Care System.Peter resides in Missoula and works as a corporate float flight nurse for Guardian Flight -combining his training and experience with traveling. Beyond his professional commitments, Peter has toured over 60 countries, reads myriad of books, and loves connecting with people. His current goals include outdoor athletic pursuits, visiting Antarctica, and motorcycling across Alaska.
