I have a strong background in both basic and applied sciences, as well as a M.D. and a MSc in Medicine from Memorial University of Newfoundland.My previous current research projects include evaluating the efficacy and safety of new medicines for adult type 2 diabetes, such as weekly insulin and weekly insulin plus GLP1a, in collaboration with NovoNordisk, Pfizer, and other pharmaceutical companies. I also conduct DNA-based stool tests for identifying colon cancer risk, in partnership with Exact Sciences. In addition, I have 25 years of experience in primary care medicine, and 11 years of experience in chairing the EHR committee and proctoring physicians and staff with Athenahealth EHR. I am passionate about advancing medical knowledge, improving patient outcomes, and delivering quality care.
