Peter Swift, P.E.Peter Swift is the owner of Swift and Associates, Civil/Traffic Engineers and Town Planners, Gold Hill, Colorado. He has been working within engineering and urban design for over 40 years of which 4 were spent in public service, 31 in his own business and 2 years in Iraq as the Director of Town Planning for a U.S. company.Peter works consistently with sustainable civil/traffic engineering and sustainable urban design throughout the United States, Canada, Central America, China and the Middle East. He is one of the early Charter members of the Congress of the New Urbanism. He was a Knight Fellow with the University of Miami. He has been an occasional lecturer at several Universities with a regular series on Traditional Town Planning presented at the University of Colorado at Denver and Boulder.
