I am a versatile and independent problem solver with a strong focus on solutions rather than limitations when addressing complex challenges. As a full-stack engineer, I have worn many hats throughout my career, taking a hands-on approach to ensure that both minor details and overarching objectives are executed with precision.Some past projects include:* Rule-Based IoT System: I designed and implemented a highly adaptable IoT system capable of deployment on both cloud and edge platforms, enabling control of thousands of devices. In addition to creating the core system, I developed supporting web services, user interfaces, microservices, and databases. As part of this project, I also designed a template system and a custom scripting language for configuring deployments quickly and easily.* Created a custom UI framework in Javascript for displaying and updating 1000s of datapoints in real time. *Employee Entry System: During the COVID-19 pandemic, I collaborated with multiple departments at Semtech to create, deploy, and maintain an employee entry system. This system played a crucial role in facilitating the safe reopening of Semtech's offices.* OTA Update Service: I engineered an Over-the-Air (OTA) update service for edge devices, allowing for configuration changes and updates to be remotely managed.* Created an IoT device simulator in Unity that could be used to simulate various common devices that could be found in a home.* Asynchronous Event Workflow: I developed an asynchronous event workflow, which served as the backbone for scheduling and coordinating various services, including messaging, periodic scripts, and other internal maintenance tasks.* Created a custom scripting language for configuration of IoT devices and rules.* Created a custom scripting language for data parsing and normalizing of device packets.In addition to these projects, I have experience working on data warehousing, SLA monitoring, billing and usage calculations, logging services, error detection and reporting services, data synchronization, and much more. My technical skills span both front-end and back-end development, with expertise in Vue and React on the frontend and Django and asyncio on the backend. I've crafted APIs and microservices using GO, Python, and C, and I've successfully managed multiple projects using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment in multiple environments.
