Maintenance Body Damage Manager
I oversaw all body operations and confirmed that all vehicles were properly serviced and were road-safe.I carried out visual inspections and mechanical diagnostic tests to identify repairs needed for a vehicle to return to a safe and operational state. For inspections performed by appraisers, I assessed their findings and estimates and gave final approval for servicing to be started. To acquire parts and supplies, I turned to the network of vendors to make cost-effective purchases. I assigned repair work to the team of technicians, monitored progress, and lead final inspections. During the repair process, I updated the status of a vehicle within the company’s databases.I also found new vendors that offered high quality parts at lower prices and secured partnerships. I completed vendor invoicing and services rendered. Led inventory control efforts which ensured enough essential parts were on hand. All body shop employees were trained by me, and I administered ongoing employee development. I determined if a vehicle was beyond repair, and salvaged parts.Key contributions / achievements:» Inspected up to 14 vehicles per day.» Supervised as many as five technicians per day.» Supervised the appraisers.» When needed, offered services to a second company location.» Stayed up to date with current industry practices and ensure employees understood new standards.
