I am a board certified Urological Surgeon in the state of Illinois. I also received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Furthering my education I went on to earn my medical degree from Midwestern University and entered a highly competitive urological surgery training program. I currently serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Bioengineering in the Department of Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago where I pursue novel medical device ideas that will potentially translate into the clinical setting. In addition I am a co-founder and current Vice President for Clinical Affairs for Hemotek Medical Inc., a company focusing on the development of safer hemodialysis technology for patients. My background as a physician and engineer gives me a unique insight into medical device development. Using my training, I hope to continue to pursue technologies that will help improve the quality of healthcare.
