I have a research background with experience in in Marketing, GIS, and Graphic Design (Adobe CS). I also write, edit, proofread, and develop branding strategy. I've worked for startups, consulting firms, and commercial real estate firms. My skill level in Adobe is high-intermediate to borderline advanced. My skill level in writing is advanced. I've written research reports, branded e-mail marketing, journal articles, web-copy, and various print copy. I also wrote a 100 page Master's thesis for an MS degree in Applied Geography (Real Estate Minor). My first job was in market research, site suitability, demographic/psychographic cartography, and graphic design. As a research analyst, this meant aggregating demographic data for potential business sites, analyzing viability, and packaging it all. This position was with Catalyst Commercial in Dallas, Texas. After deciding to leave Texas, I became a content marketer for a startup in Seattle, Washington called Utrip. This role required me to sell the product to potential customers, and help grow the company. Being part of the startup ecosystem in Seattle was a eye-opening experience and helped me see business differently. This is where I was able to work with developers on things like data-scraping, coding, scripting, and point-pattern mapping. The startup culture was fun, and exercising ISOs was cool, but Seattle was a bit glum for me. Colorado is where I call home now, as of 2017. My first job here was for another consulting firm, this time one focused on traffic management. Our main client, CDOT, relied on us for traffic reporting, project management, infrastructure development, and data collection. This job was more technical than my first two, and introduced me to real-time data collection (bluetooth, cellular), government contracts (regulation heavy), project engineering, and a first for me, fieldwork. The second job I had, starting in 2019, was the most marketing focused job. This was as Marketing Coordinator for Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors. I was able to beef up my writing and graphic design skills here. Unfortunately, Covid walloped the commercial real estate industry and I was laid off. That set me on the path I've been on for the last two years, a self-employed real estate investor, entrepreneur, woodworker, and restorer of classic BMW's. These hobbies have become revenue generating income streams for me. I've learned tangible skills I can use the rest of my life, and enjoyed a ton of personal growth. I'm ready now to get back into the corporate world, and am excited to join a new company.
