About Peter Thiessen
I never would have though that a summer job with my dad spreading mortar on his brick and stone work would germinate into owning a natural stone fabrication company with my partner some 40 years later. Summers with dad turned into my own installation company in my early 30's after years of University and jobs in marketing. This winding path finally led me to partnering with a friend and the founder of Masonal Stone. Friends ask why my 80 year old father, who drives a Mercedes, doesn't retire from masonry, I repeat his line to me, "it's not a job if it keeps you healthy and out of trouble." That's what I'm aiming for in my role to educate the next generation in the beauty of Natural Stone and the joy of masonry.
