I am a dedicated, diligent and proactive individual with over 3 years’ experience as a synthetic organic chemist working on projects with medicinal chemistry applications for a global drug development company. In March 2023, I received an award ‘For independent route-finding to a key building block on multi-gram scale, enabling access to a key series of molecules for the wider team’. It was from these molecules that vital headway was made regarding our ultimate aim of developing a novel pre-clinical drug candidate for the treatment of IBD.I am interested in pursuing a funded PhD degree in a related field to my current line of work, ideally through an industrial programme or by conventional/alternative means, provided a suitable salary can be negotiated. My top 3 skills are being:- articulate, in terms of presentation and explanation;- conscientious and diligent in how I conduct myself in both a personal and professional capacity;- a critical thinker, utilising (in)animate resources to solve problems.
