System architect and lead engineer for a new video retouching and composting product using OpenGL for SGI workstations running IRIX, SGI's UNIX. Designed and implemented various subsystems including caching, file access, layering, composting, brushes, image processing, and system level classes.

Implemented enhancements to Workstation Host Interface Program (WHIP), 3270 emulator running under AIX on the IBM RT. Also ported Usability, a text windowing interface to AIX for the IBM PS/2 model 70/80.Lead programmer for porting Graphics Support Library (GSL) from AIX on the IBM RT to AIX on the IBM PS/2 Model 70/80. Responsible for configuration and system issues. Implemented support for VGA and 8514A display adapters. Developed a small graphics editor with graphics menus to demonstrated GSL.

Developed Graphical Description Language (GDL) subsystem for business presentation graphics packages for MS DOS. Implemented graphical database and various graphics primitives for package. Responsible for system configuration and documentation of GDL.

Designed and developed applications for the Ambiset, an Integrated Voice/Data Terminal (IVDT), precursor to the PDA. These applications included: terminal emulation, mailbox, desktop calculator, message editor, and calendar. Developed an application development environment on an IBM PC.

Programmer/analyst for CAD packages. Maintained and enhanced Summadraft, a 2-1/2D Computer Aided Drafting package running under Data General DOS. Prototyped a 3D CAD system running under DEC VMS from which a new XENIX system was based. Responsible for graphics support, mathematical modeling, user interface and system issues.
