Base Defense Operations Center Controller
• Responsible for command and control of over 30+ personnel, directly responsible for directing forces for police response, or Air Base Defense, when needed.• Monitor, note, report, and investigate suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in patrol area.• Inspection of dormitories, facilities, vehicles, equipment, personnel, and paperwork. • Maintain logs, prepare reports, and direct the preparation, handling, and maintenance of squadron records.• Mentor and explain operations to airmen to assist them in performing their job duties.• Control entry and exit to Air Force installation while utilizing Information Access Control System to verify authorized personnel.• Responsible for providing aircraft security, police services, guarding of national resources, and enabling base defense.• Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.• Identify, pursue, and apprehend suspects and perpetrators of criminal acts.
