I lead a team and the company strategy for EMAP's event websites.In managing a team of 20 and working with people it was my role to help achieve and increase the revenue and interest in the paid for digital channels for each event at EMAP that spanned 8 sectors.I had ownership of the p&l and was a key part of the forecasting and budgeting process.

During this position I managed the entire EMAP recruitment and Classified teams across Retail, Fashion, Construction and Engineering.I held the budget for the classified and recrutiment areas and was responsible for controlling the profit generation across all markets.My team ranged from 11-17 salespeople, account managers and team leaders during this period. In managing through the recession I was able to maintain constant revenue across the board and when recruitment revenues dropped, we were positioned as the first place to come to for print advertising.During this time I was a key player in the launch of the classified online websites.I maintained constant contact with our clients and continued to sell through every part of the role.

I sold across the classified, display and awards sections of the Engineering and Recycling Portfolio.I managed a team of 3 people during this time and reported into a sales director. I was key in launching the GE awards and delivered the sponsorship revenues.I was taken from this role and asked if I could help deliver the consistant revenues I had been across the board in my next role at EMAP.

I begin my career selling classified advertising on NCE, GE and NCEi magazines.It was tough, enjoyable and it seems to have worked out.
