GymBeam is the largest fitness e-commerce in Central and Eastern Europe and the fastest growing fitness brand in Europe. We were serving 6M customers in 14 countries, shipping 300k orders every month, reaching 170M € GMV in 2023.The IT team was running the e-shop with 250M page views per year, warehouse management system with thousands of SKUs and multiple locations, marketplaces and finance integrations, B2B platform for manufacturers, brick-and-mortar stores integration, data warehouse and business intelligence platform. GymBeam's tech department was 40+ spirited software developers, data engineers, product owners and quality engineers.My job was to balance the technology and the business, take care of company’s technical vision and direction, contribute to company's strategy and to help grow GymBeam into a large enterprise. I managed the IT department and cared about health of engineering culture, I was responsible for what we choose to implement, delivery of the business value and for the predictability of the software development process.

We developed an incubation program with a 2-week on-site summer camp in Eastern Slovakia producing early-stage startups. First batch recruited from our network of local entrepreneurs that became founders of new ventures. Program’s conclusion was Startup Fair, a startup conference where 150 people from local ecosystem came to listen to 10 speakers and watch 6 startups from the program pitch in front of international jury and investors.

I was responsible for everything product-related in company's startup incubator and also digitization services business - I was bringing to life two startups (including an analytical platform for active cryptocurrency traders), and I was also acting as a product manager and consultant on contracted enterprise projects, implementing CRM and BI solutions. As a senior executive, I was also contributing to company strategy, communication, sales strategy, processes, and hiring. I have organized a successful international hackathon for our German customers.

My job was to spin-off a brand new Mixed Reality startup and I spent a year validating business ideas for commercial mixed reality installations in the retail, automotive, hospitality, real-estate and museum sectors. In 2017, we made to the stage at the finals of Startup World Cup, Central European Startup Awards and Slovak Startup Awards with our holographic telepresence pitch.

I was the Product Owner for multiple electronic payment software products - our payment gateway, credit card web component, and mobile SDK. I designed and launched a brand new platform for smartphone payment terminals. I helped to grow our branch to 100 people and built & led a high-performing development team of 15 people.

I led teams of Java developers in implementations of components to a Business Process Modeling platform, a brand new modeling tool, innovative BI system, and an usability project. I implemented Agile transition of the whole enterprise R&D unit, and acted as a Scrum Master and proxy Product Owner. I was also people manager, and I interviewed around hundred developers over the years.

I implemented a tool for creating targeted marketing materials to a web CRM software for retail chains, and I worked as a developer on multiple contract projects on Point-of-Sale solutions for customers all over Europe.

As a software engineer intern, I on my own created a help authoring tool for my company, and I worked on the implementation of new features to company's Point-of-Sale system.
