I have practised as a specialist litigation and insurance lawyer for over 30 years and have extensive experience in handling compulsory third party (CTP), product liability, public liability and major catastrophic claims on behalf of a number of local and overseas insurers. This includes managing catastrophic claims involving quadriplegia, tetraplegia, paraplegia, significant brain damage, amputations and plaintiffs on permanent life support.In addition, I handle product liability claims involving amongst others motor vehicles, motorcycles, heavy machinery, electrical generators, X-ray and CT scan equipment, power saws and domestic appliances including televisions and air conditioning systems.I act as a claims agent in relation to product liability and professional indemnity matters which arise in Australia and New Zealand for a major Japanese insurer. In that capacity, all product liability and professional indemnity claims which arise in Australia and New Zealand are first reported by the insured to Peter who then arranges early investigations and expert evidence.I am also experienced in professional indemnity claims involving engineers, and has substantial experience in both domestic and commercial public liability claims.
