De Stichting Nederlandse Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek Instituten (NWO-I) bevordert fundamenteel natuurkundig onderzoek in Nederland. Activiteiten van FOM komen het algemeen belang ten goede, in het bijzonder dat van het hoger onderwijs en het bedrijfsleven. De Stichting FOM besteedt meer dan 120 miljoen euro voor exploitatie en investeringen aan NWO-activiteiten bij de bijbehorende onderzoeks-instituten. De baten hiervoor zijn in de eerste plaats afkomstig van het Gebiedsbestuur Natuurkunde van NWO (Nederlandse organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) en het Algemeen Bestuur van NWO en verder ook van de Europese Unie, de overheid, en uit samenwerking met universiteiten en het bedrijfsleven.De hoofdtaak van de functie richt zich op de financiële planning. Daarbij gaat het om het in kaart brengen van de inkomstenstromen (subsidies, projectfinancieringen, contracten) en de toedeling of allocatie naar instituten en werkgroepen in overeenstemming met het beleid van het Uitvoerend Bestuur en de directeur van NWO-I. Het hoofd Financiële Planning draagt zorg voor een adequate NWO-I begroting, inclusief deelbegrotingen, stemt de begroting af met de instituten en intern binnen het NWO-I bureau en draagt zorg voor adequate en tijdige managementrapportages. Alsmede het bijdragen en mede richting geven aan het financiële en het financieel-economische beleid en beheer in een organisatie bestaande uit meerdere instituten en meerdere administraties.

Leading a global team of 6 FTE's responsible for Finance in the Business support (Financial & Management) accounting for the global Shell Tax, Audit, Controllers, Treasury and Investment Relations organizations(approx 1200 FTE's & $600m spender cost)

Successful introduction of the One-SERP(SAP) MI solution into the Shell Service Companies (Globally approx.7.000 users) and the adoption of this solution by the business. Knowledge gained in Project management, Stakeholder Engagement & Communications and Change Management.

Integration of Shell Chemicals Technology in Shell Global solutions, affecting ways of working, system change (from GSAP to JDE). Follow-up on SSSC study outcome (Shell Shared Service Centers).Co-develop cost leadership. Tariff Variance managing, including accurate forecasting year-end position. Simplify and improve processes on accounting. Working Capital related activities, a.o. credit management, manage/verify bad debt and project balances;Develop, coordinate and shape Target & Resource planning. Ensured timely monthly results and quarterly Dashboard reporting for the GST/GSI Leadership teams (managing 500 FTE's $250 m Opex and $15m Capex);Manage effects of Divestment of Shell Coordination Centre S.A..(closing/selling of a Belgium site $60m, incl. redundancy of Staff - 50 FTE's);Maintain adequate resourcing. Manage and develop staff globally (7 FTE's, 2 Business Analysts, 2 Customer accountants, 3 Financial Accountants).

Align Global Chemicals Technology Finance Processes (as in place at SRTCA (NL), MCIL (Belgium), WTC (US); Develop, implement and maintain Management Accounting procedures and reporting;Successful Implementation GSAP for Shell Chemicals Technology (NL & US).Manage budgeting, progress and appraisal processes. This includes: operating, capital and program budgeting, tariff accounting, cost allocation and Key performance indicators. Dimensions Opex $350m, Capex $30m, FTE 800;Manage cost recovery: this includes service fee accounting. Arrange for an adequate tariff structure for a Shell Service company (non-profit organisation) which is geared to full cost recovery being tax proof;Manage and develop staff (4 FTE's).

Managing 9 staff. Activities related to the execution and supervisory of Financial & Management accounting activities. Budget control includes Off shore activities, logistics (boats, heli's, transport) and Facility Management activities;Coordination of budgets, costs and appraisal reporting. Monitoring finance and business controls;Responsible for implementation SAP R3 for NAM’s Offshore Business Unit;Focal point for all financial matters (budgeting/controlling/reporting/analysing) related to these assets (Opex fl 300 mln, Capex fl 700 mln, Prod. Gas 6.3 mrd m3, 14 platforms. 150 staff). This includes scorecard development, feedback to Business Partners and advising budgetholders;
