Development of MEMS chip for electrophysiology/drug testing

In September I officially joined the BionChip team as COO. I was responsible for all operations and assisted in aquisition and marketing. Focus was on the start up of Microsystems technology business in Life Science and Biotechnlogy.

THe Philips company was taken over by a private investor group and continued the activities. Here I also headed the engineering and maintenance crew

I started working for the Philips Research Laboratory in Eindhoven in august 1987. I then joined the Optoelectronics group that did research on Laser, LED and Photodiode devices and that started development and production as a stand-alone unit. I was responsible for development of the thin film technology .From 1992 to 1998 I worked within the magnetic heads and modules business group as engineering manager off the waferfab
