I currently serve in a Senior associate scientist role, in Biotherapeutics & Medicinal Chemistry at Biogen in Cambridge, MA. I have been in my current role since August of 2018 where I worked as a contractor before being hired in March of 2019.I specialize in chromatographic separations/purifications on semi-preparative scale. I also manage the department's Open Access chromatographic systems. Responsibilities include performing both proactive and reactive maintenance, regular system suitability standards, and designing improvements to both user experience and technical performance. In 2023 alone, my maintenance efforts saved Biogen $56,000 in repair costs.My current purification workflows involve heavy use of Tecan robotic liquid handlers, various Water's chromatographic and mass spectrometry systems, and Bruker NMR instruments. I am a former undergraduate researcher at Clarkson University. I was heavily involved in WCKN, the university's television station. I was a student leader and captain of High Dive, Clarkson's ultimate frisbee team.
