I was a shift supervisor at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Museum is a 207,000 square feet level 4 security building on 23 acres and is the second-largest presidential library, behind only the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The Museum is home to priceless artifacts, art pieces, documents, and gifts on display given to the President, the First Lady, and the people of the United States of America while in office. As a shift supervisor, I insured that the thirteen officer's under my supervision followed post orders and enforced the rules, regulations, and policies set forth by the National Archives and Records Administration. My duties included monitoring CCTV's, fire alarms, VESDA alarms, door alarms, glass break alarms, generator alarms, access to secure parking lots, key card access, hard key access, escorts to restricted area's, foot patrols, contractor and visitor logs, mail logs, medical emergencies, daily activity reports, and truck barrier and bollard control. I was responsible for the mounting and dismounting of all officer's firearms to be stored in our onsite armory that only supervisors can access. I am currently the security property manager for all the Fort Worth Housing Solution properties, the Dallas Housing Authority properties, and Union Gospel Mission properties. I supervise and do pay roll for over 200 security officers, Dallas Police Officers, and Fort Worth officers working our properties. I am currently a licensed Personal Protection Officer, Commissioned Officer, Level 3 T.X.D.P.S. firearm instructor and NRA firearm instructor. When I'm not in the office, I'm out in the field speaking with clients, conducting site inspections, downloading and archiving body camera footage, interviewing and hiring employee's, and setting schedules at our properties.
