I'm an energy engineer and renewable energy expert with over eight years of experience. I’m a registered graduate engineer and a licensed solar PV engineer. My areas of expertise include design and installation of solar PV systems, financial modeling for solar PV projects, development of grid-scale PV projects, business development, solar technical sales, and market intelligence and strategizing. My range of skills enables me to work as a business developer, solar PV engineer, project manager, renewable energy consultant, administrator, and sales specialist. I’m experienced in the execution of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV projects with regard to load assessment, system design, pricing, installations, and commissioning. I have helped C&I clients reduce their power bills or replace utility power supply altogether. I'm experienced in the application of solar solutions for humanitarian and commercial purposes, such as the provision of solar water pumps for communities without access to piped water, development of solar mini-grids for communities without grid connectivity, and provision of tailored applications such as solar fridges and freezers for storage of vaccines in off-grid medical facilities. I have also been involved in the supply of small off-grid PV systems for homes and small businesses. I am passionate about the application of renewable energy innovations as a means of mitigating energy poverty and improving the socioeconomic status and quality of life for impoverished communities. I'm enthusiastic about enhancing energy access for underserved communities such as refugees, poor rural dwellers, and people living in informal settlements.
