VJP has numerous features that are impossible mechanically and it solves the constant tuning problems of the legacy versions.We now have another game-changing product, vOL PRO, about to launch. The system was developed into a cordless, attitude sensing joystick - the VIR One - for computer games.I had to devise several novel methods and technologies for the product e.g. a novel sensing device, artificial intelligence firmware, non-linear control, ultra low-power communications and extended battery life. I presented a paper on these technologies at the ANZIIS-IEEE, 1992 world conference. It's likely to still be the highest slew-rate, attitude-sensing controller in the domestic virtual reality world. I started as a recording engineer - a pursuit I still enjoy - but quickly took on the producer role. These were the heady days of the record industry, with technology advancements in leaps and bounds, huge record sales and budgets to match. I started as a recording engineer - a pursuit I still enjoy - but quickly took on the producer role. These were the heady days of the record industry, with technology advancements in leaps and bounds, huge record sales and budgets to match. I was fortunate to work with many of the leading lights of those days and continue to have an active involvement in the industry. As a side note, it was the prospect of applying computer automation to recording consoles that sparked my initial interest in programming. I started programming in machine language and assembler as my escape valve from long days in the studio. I went on to write software for acoustic analysis, studio management and a novel tape filing system.
